Using eBook readers, tablets or your computer to read books from OverDrive is easy. All you have to do is check out and download an eBook, then transfer it to your device using Adobe Digital Editions.

Install software
You can use a compatible eBook reader or tablet to enjoy eBooks. You'll need Adobe Digital Editions to transfer eBooks to your device. eBooks can be downloaded directly to most tablets. See the Device Resource Centre for information on your specific device.
You will also need to authorize your computer and your eBook reader with an Adobe ID. -
Browse, check out, download

Get started at smithers.bclibrary.ca.

Click on Download Audiobooks eBooks & Magazines.

Click OverDrive-Library to Go.

Next, check out and download an EPUB or PDF eBook using your Windows or Mac computer. The eBook will download into Adobe Digital Editions.

From there, transfer the eBook to your eBook reader. It's a simple drag and drop from your Adobe Digital Editions library to your device bookshelf.

Enjoy titles on your eBook reader
Once you have transferred a library eBook, you can read it just like you would any other eBook. Keep in mind; options for eBooks will vary by device. - More questions?
